The Friends of Eldorado National Forest will kick-off with our first work party on December 1st, 2007!
Using the RICS organiztion format, FOE will be clearing brush off route 10N57, south of Iron Mountain Road/Morman Emmigrant trail. Volunteers will also be removing two abandoned cars and garbage from the forest.
In that this is our first work party, it is paramount that we are sucessful and that we show the Forest Service that we mean business! It is also important to note that this route IS NOT an OHV route! We will show the public that the OHV community cares about the entire forest, not just our own trails!
Food will be provided by the Rubicon Rockheads, and Rubicon Trail-Boss Del Albright will also be attending the work party as a consultant to make sure our first event runs smoothly.

There are many other events in the works for 2008! We are currently working with the Forest Service to lay out future work parties that may include removing a building below Baltic Ridge Fire Tower and installing bear-boxes by Wrights Lake. Please continue to check back with us for updates!
The Friends of Eldorado National Forest has finally picked our offical Logo! After much consideration, the "hand-print" logo has been chosen. All prospective logos were designed by founding FOE member and artist Shannon Chard of the Rubicon Rockheads. Our other logos will still be in use and may also be seen on future FOE stickers and T-shirts.
